Art of SoundThe Art of Sound course at the Royal Conservatoire is a four-year European recognised Bachelor course. The course trains students as sound technicians in the widest sense of the word, with an emphasis on the artistic side of the profession. The Art of Sound course assumes that a sound technician is also a musician.
Whether you are working on a song in a studio for days on end, travelling the world with a theatre show or recording on location with great orchestras, a sound technician is primarily involved with music. For this reason, along with all the technical subjects, music education is a central aspect of the course. When graduating successfully, you will have reached the level of Bachelor of Music.
Costs of the course: As well as the course study fees and a musical instrument, students need to take into account extra study costs for the purchase of materials including books, readers, computer material and recording media. It is recommended that you possess your own (laptop) computer.
