On 11 & 12 April the Royal Conservatoire will come to London for auditions for the Classical, Early Music, and Vocal Programmes. The auditions will be held in the London Welsh Centre.

Please note

The application and entrance procedures for anyone who will audition in London is different from people who will audition in The Hague. You do not have to apply via Studielink and you do not have to send in a recording or recommendation letters (when requested). You can read how to apply below.

 

BACHELORS

Describe in approx. 200 words where you have performed, and if you have ever taught somewhere or someone.

 

Describe in approx. 200 words what you seek to achieve with a course at the Royal Conservatoire.

 

Describe in approx. 200 words your general interest in the arts, sciences and culture, and your specific interest in styles, genres, other disciplines or new technology.

 

What do you intend or hope to be able to contribute yourself to the musical climate, both during the course and in the profession?

 

Also send in the following:

  • your current contact details
  • scan of your diplomas and list of results
  • scan of your passport
  • scan of a passport photo (3x4 cm)

In the Master study plan, which you are required to submit for your application to the Master course, you will need to describe your plans for the research part of the Master programme. Outline if you have any previous experience with research, and what your plans are with regard to research for the Master course.

Applying for other departments 

Auditions (or entrance exams) for the other programmes take place in The Hague. Applications for these will go via the regular procedure. If you do want to audition for the Classical, Early Music or Vocal programmes, but are unable to attend the auditions in London, you can apply via the regular way, and (if invited) audition in The Hague.
