StudiosThe Institute of Sonology has a number of studios at its disposal, and also an electronics workshop and a lecture hall. The lessons take place in the studios, and the students also work there independently on their lesson tasks and their own projects.
Computer studio 1: a studio with 6 Apple workstations on which can be worked with software for sound synthesis, algorithmic composition and the writing of computer programmes. The studio has a 4-channel sound reproduction system. Particulars: Symbolic Sound Kyma. mamager: Paul Berg

Studio BEA5: a classical analogue voltage-control studio for electronic music. The apparatus ranges from analogue filters from the 1950s and 1960s to recently designed and built voltage-control modules. The studio has a 5.1 sound reproduction system. Manager: Kees Tazelaar
Studio BEA6: a digital studio for live electronic music with a 5.1 sound reproduction system. Manager: Johan van Kreij

Electronics workshop (EWP): Here apparatus is designed and built for the studios and for the performance of electronic music. Traditional instruments can also be provided with sensors with which electronic apparatus can be activated. Students can borrow apparatus for work done on location. Manager: Lex v.d. Broek.
Edgard Varèsezaal: hall for group lessons, presentations by students and guest speakers. The hall has a 4-channel sound reproduction system and a collection of historic apparatus which reflects the history of the Institute of Sonology. Manager: Kees Tazelaar |
