Jaring Walta studied with Davina van Wely at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam and was a violinist in the Concertgebouw Orchestra from 1962 until 1965. Next he was appointed concertmaster of the Overijssels Philharmonic and taught at the Twentsch Conservatory. Since 1970 he has been concertmaster of The Hague Philharmonic and has been a Professor of Violin at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague since 1981. He is also a board member of various violin competitions in the Netherlands.
Jaring Walta studeerde bij Davina van Wely aan het Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam en was in de periode van 1962 tot 1965 violist van het Concertgebouworkest. Vervolgens werd hij benoemd als concertmeester bij het Overijssels Philharmonisch Orkest en doceerde hij viool aan het Twentsch Conservatorium. Sinds 1970 is hij concertmeester bij het Residentie Orkest en sinds 1981 is hij verbonden aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium als hoofdvakdocent viool. Daarnaast is hij jurylid van verschillende viool-concoursen in Nederland.
