Lenie van den Heuvel (soprano) graduated as a Teaching and Practising Musician with Marianne Dieleman at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague in 1983. At the same time she attended lessons and masterclasses with Annie Hermes, Evelyn Lear and with Elisabeth Söderström.
She was a member of the Netherlands Chamber Choir from 1983 until 2003. She made many recordings with this famous professional ensemble and she worked with the following conductors: Eric Ericson, John Alldis, Paul van Nevel, Tõnu Kaljuste, Philippe Herreweghe, Kent Nagano, Ton Koopman, William Christie, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and others. She was a soloist in productions conducted by Hartmut Haenchen, Jos van Immerseel, Lev Markiz, Uwe Gronostay and Frans Brüggen.
She currently performs as a soloist in oratorios and various other productions. Lenie van den Heuvel has been a singing pedagogue at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague since 1993. She finished her career with the Netherlands Chamber Choir in 2003 and now devotes herself entirely to training and coaching singers.

Lenie van den Heuvel (sopraan) behaalde in 1983 haar diploma's Docerend Musicus en Uitvoerend Musicus aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium bij Marianne Dieleman. Tevens volgde zij lessen en masterclasses bij Annie Hermes, Evelyn Lear en Elisabeth Söderström.
Van 1983 tot 2003 maakte zij deel uit van het Nederland Kamerkoor. Met dit ensemble heeft zij vele CD opnames gemaakt en werkte zij met onder meer de volgende dirigenten: Eric Ericson, John Alldis, Paul van Nevel, Tõnu Kaljuste, Philippe Herreweghe, Kent Nagano, Ton Koopman, William Christie, Nikolaus Harnoncourt; als soliste was zij te beluisteren in producties onder leiding van: Hartmut Haenchen, Jos van Immerseel, Lev Markiz, Uwe Gronostay en Frans Brüggen.
Lenie van den Heuvel verleent ook solistische medewerking aan oratoria en diverse andere producties. Sinds 1993 is zij als zangdocente verbonden aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium en vanaf 2003, nadat zij haar carrière bij het NKK heeft afgesloten, wijdt zij zich volledig aan het opleiden en coachen van zangers.
