De Oostenrijker Thomas Larcher schreef nieuw werk voor Asko|Schönberg: The Living Mountain. Een werk als een reis in woord, beeld en klank, geïnspireerd door beelden van het berglandschap van Zuid-Tirol van gevierd kunstenaar-fotograaf Awoiska van der Molen. Die foto’s worden ook tijdens het concert getoond. Daarnaast putte Larcher uit het boek The Living Mountain van de Schot Nan Shepherd.
