Jeroen Bron began studying flute aged 9. After graduating from the Young Talent department of the Royal Conservatoire (The Hague) he continued on to the senior department where he studied with Rien de Reede and Thies Roorda from 1990 to 1996. He completed his conservatoire training with 3 years as a postgraduate, studying with Emily Beynon.
In addition he has also taken masterclasses with Trevor Wye, William Bennett en Peter Lukas Graf amongst others and in 1995 won first prize in the Kuhlau International Chamber music competition in Germany.
During his studies Jeroen began to specialise in teaching young, talented flute players and has been a flute teacher at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague since 1999, teaching in both the Young Talent and senior departments, including several years as Emily Beynon's assistant.
Furthermore he is also involved in organising the so-called 'flute days' throughout The Netherlands with colleagues and teaches at his own practice, where he specialises in facilitating the path of young flute students who wish to go on to full-time, professional training.
