Early Music

Due to the regulations about the COVID-19 outbreak, the entrance exams at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague will take place in an adapted form this year. All exams will take place online to avoid international travels and physical meetings. The modified procedure looks like this.

We will assess your application on the basis of a recording, your motivation form and a theory test. To acces your application al document sneed to be uploaded to Osiris no later than February 28th.

  • A recording. We would like to ask you to submit at least two recordings with a total duration of 10-15 minutes. Choose repertoire of varying character that allows you to demonstrate your musical and technical capabilities. Upload the recordings on YouTube/Vimeo. Then please create a Word or PDF file with a repertoire list and all activated links. You can upload this document in your application in Osiris.
  • Motivation form. Answer de questions by downloading the PDF and uploading it to Osiris.
  • An online theory test will also be part of your entrance exams. You can practice the theory test here.

Many candidates will be called by phone in the week of 20 April for an interview. Please make sure that you are available in these weeks for a conversation by phone, WhatsApp or FaceTime on the phone number that you submitted through Studielink. We prefer to speak to you in a video call.

You will receive the result of the application procedure by May 4th.

  • A recording. We would like to ask you to submit at least two recordings with a total duration of 15-20 minutes. Choose repertoire of varying character that allows you to demonstrate your musical and technical capabilities. Upload the recordings on YouTube/Vimeo. Then please create a Word or PDF file with a repertoire list and all activated links. You can upload this document in your application in Osiris.
