The second edition of ASPIRE will focus on writing and composing. Similar to Writing Camps in the music industry, students of the Jazz department will focus on writing within a variety of idioms, such as writing for large ensembles, instant composing, composing for film, electronic, beat and sequence oriented producing and more. Each day of the ASPIRE week will be filled with masterclasses and workshops, given by some of the best known and acquired artists from the Dutch and International scene, inviting students to write and compose original music and share it with their peers at the showcases every night.

Full of diverse original music by the students of the KC Jazz, the week will be round off in a final public concert on Friday, November 4 at 19.00 in the Conservatoriumzaal. The admission is free.
