Auditioning young talent
The Dance Department of the Royal Conservatoire organizes various auditions during the year in The Hague, Haarlem and Rotterdam. Boys and girls from groups 4 to 8 of primary school can participate, participation is free. Musicality, creativity, coordination and sense of movement are crucial. We are in search of talent, so years of dance experience is not necessary. It's about having fun dancing. Click here for more information about the program and how to register.

Dance department at the Royal Conservatoire
The children who successfully pass the audition can enter the orientation program of the Dance Department. The orientation program offers children in groups 4 to 8 of primary school the opportunity to take lessons as an introduction to the formal training. In order to make dance your profession later, it is crucial to start as young as possible with the right training. After the orientation program, you can audition for the Dance Department: a complete training to become a professional dancer, tailored to the requirements of international professional practice. The training consists of an intensive professional study that can be followed from grade 7 of primary school in combination with the School for Young Talent. At the School for Young Talent you can combine primary school (group 7/8) and secondary school with the Dance Department.
