CASS is an amalgam of the Composition department, the Institute of Sonology and the Interfaculty ArtScience. The numerous interfaces and connections between them and the rich traditions they have emerged from have yielded an enormous variety of aesthetic, didactic and technical approaches within the Royal Conservatoire. To benefit fully from this diversity, it is important for the students of these creative departments to share their ideas, participate in joint projects and present their work with specialists from outside their own discipline. The three departments therefore organise several joint presentations every year at which the students and teachers can learn about each other’s work.
