Fergus McAlpine, conductor

The National Master in Orchestral Conducting is offered jointly by the Royal Conservatoire, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Dutch orchestras. The programme trains young conductors to the high technical and artistic standards required to conduct a professional orchestra. During the course the students are given the opportunity to gain experience as an assistant conductor with a Dutch orchestra.

Tonight, Fergus McAlpine, who joined the programme in September 2018, will sit his final exam with the Noord Nederlands Orkest, a dedicated supporter of this unique programme for a new generation of conductors. The programme will consist of a diverse repertoire that enables the student to demonstrate the full range of his ability. You are more than welcome to attend!
