Dance Department End-of-Year Performances
Every school year concludes with the end-of-year performances in the Kees van Baarenzaal. This series of performances by the pupils and students of the Dance programme are the highlight of the year, for the participants and for the public. The audience will be treated to a varied programme of classical ballet, modern, flamenco, caractère and (new) repertoire by international choreographers.
The performance opens with a suite from the ballet Don Quixote, compiled by Esther Protzman (teacher Dance department). Fragments of Flamenco and world dance are performed with live music. Works by international choreographers will also be performed, including choreographies of Johan Inger, Maurice Causey and Jiří Kylián. Katarina Wester (teacher Dance department) creates a choreography for the entire Dance department.
