With admirable dedication, perseverance, talent, passion, artistry and joy in dance, pupils, students, teachers and staff are preparing for the annual End-of-Year Performances of Royal Conservatoire Dance. [Click here for tickets.]
On 16, 17 and 18 July 2025, they will take to the stage at Danstheater Amare in The Hague, presenting a rich and diverse programme that showcases the versatility and quality of the education. The programme includes excerpts from La Bayadère, in an adaptation by Esther Protzman, Thiago Bordin and Chao Shi, new works by guest choreographer Davidson Farias (Berlin), and by Tessa Cooke and Mascha Meijman. Folia by Jan Linkens will also be performed.
In addition, works will be reprised from the Young Talent Project, a collaboration with Nederlands Dans Theater: an excerpt from Smokey Sarah by Marco Goecke and Follicles of Weary Travellers by Jon Bond. The evening will conclude festively with a special finale to music by Dutch composer Jurriaan Andriessen, a leading figure of the “Dutch School”. His Symphony no. 1, composed in 1949 and now 75 years old, will form the musical conclusion of the evening. In 2025, Andriessen would have celebrated his 100th birthday – a fitting moment to honour his work. Dance and music come together in an inspiring close to the academic year.
