Calm. Space. Texture. Depth.  the Islandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdóttir and her music are the absolute protagonists of the Ensemble Academy winter project and performance.

As one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music, Thorvaldsdóttir thinks of her music as an ecosystem of sounds, where materials continuously grow in and out of each other, often inspired in an important way by Nature and its many qualities, in particular structural ones, like proportion and flow.  

The concert will be started by a panel discussion on 'Gender in Composition and Music', led by Siela Ardjosemito.
