European Chamber Music Academy in The Hague

Every year chamber music ensembles from around Europe attend a week-long training session in The Hague organised by the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). In the course of the week, the ensembles also give concerts with varied programmes.
Founded in 2004 on the initiative of Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet), the ECMA is a joint programme organised by European universities, music schools and chamber music festivals to provide training for young music ensembles. Together with the Viennese violinist Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), Beyerke brought together the best teachers and the most talented young ensembles in Europe to create the ECMA, which is now one of the world's foremost training programmes for chamber musicians.
The young musicians and their internationally renowned teachers will once again be visiting The Hague this year to hone their artistic skills.
