On the evening of Saturday 19 March, a Funk combo featuring twelve students from the Royal Conservatoire will be appearing in the PJPJ (Podium for Young Jazz Professionals) in the Cultureel Centrum Voorschoten. The combo is conducted by Rolf Delfos, a professional arranger, saxophonist, bandleader and teacher at the Royal Conservatoire. He is also known for his work with the big band ‘Licks & Brains’. The programme will feature contemporary soul-funk, disco and South American rhythms and hip-hop-type grooves.
