Young KC Summer Festival

The School for Young Talent traditionally ends the school year with the Young KC Summer Festival, an intensive week of choral singing, chamber music, workshops and concerts. The week gives the internal and external pupils of Young KC a chance get to know one another better, both on a musical and a personal level. There is a lot to enjoy this week, with fantastic concerts in the Arnold Schönbergzaal practically every day.

AKO-Junior is the string class for children of primary school age. AKO-Junior has two projects each year: one in the autumn and one in the spring. Under the guidance of violin teacher Kerstin Hoelen, the children learn the basics of playing in an orchestra including ensemble playing and the culture of playing, purity and intonation, sound quality, bowing, phrasing and articulation, dynamics and performance, and discipline. Each spring project concludes with a concert during the Young KC Summer Festival
