The European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) is an association of European universities, conservatories and festivals in the field of chamber music. The ECMA was formed in 2004 on the initiative of Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet). Together with the Viennese violinist Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet), he brought together the most talented young ensembles in Europe and the best teachers to work on their development. The ECMA has since grown into one of the leading training grounds for chamber music ensembles. This year the young musicians and their internationally renowned teachers will be visiting The Hague for a week to work intensively on their artistic development. It is a fantastic opportunity for the public to enjoy a full weekend of chamber music of an international standard.
