This season marks the 80th birthday of Klaas de Vries, one of the great contemporary composers of the Netherlands. Students from the Classical Music Department, in collaboration with Residentie Orkest and conductor Chloe Rooke will present the world premiere of one of his latest works, Cada Instante. De Vries brings his eclectic and experimental style to classical music, creating a unique sound. The programme also features Kurtág's profound, reflective Stele and Beethoven's expressive and innovative Piano Concerto no. 4, with Dutch pianist Hannes Minnaar, featuring cadenzas written by Klaas de Vries.
