All events

Fri 25 January 2019 19:00 - 22:00

On the 25th of January, the lectorate "Music, Education and Society", led by Paul Craenen, will be officially presented. Within the lectorate, 3 new research groups are established, focusing on "Fundamentals of Musical Training", "Making in Music" and "Curating Music". The members of these groups will present themselves, and discuss their future plans amongst each other and with the audience.

The research group of the previous season (2017-2018) will also be there to present the results of their projects. In short artistic interventions and talks, Joe Puglia (violin), Petra Somlai (fortepiano), Raviv Ganchrow (sonology), Patrick van Deurzen (Music Theory) and Bjarni Gunnarsson (sonology) will show how their research projects influenced their artistic practice. Also there will be a small exposition where you can visit the projects on the Research Catalogue.

If you are interested in the recent and future research projects at the Royal Conservatoire, this event will be worth a visit!
