Masterclass members Alban Berg Ensemble Wien
On Friday 15 February, violinists Sebastian Gürtler and Régis Bringdolf and viola player Subin Lee of the renowned Alban Berg Ensemble Wien will be guests at the Royal Conservatory. They are artist in residence during the Februari Festival 2019 in the Nieuwe Kerk. They give a public masterclass for the students of the Royal Conservatoire, where they will pay a lot of attention to the art of playing together, interpretation and coaching. Their love for music is great. They are all very versatile musicians who also have experience in the so-called 'cross-over' genre. For listeners and students a masterclass not to be missed.

Masterclass Silvia Careddu
On Friday, 15 February the Italian flautist Silvia Careddu will be presenting a masterclass at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. Silvia Careddu is the solo flautist of the Vienna State Opera (Vienna Philharmonic) and teaches at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. In addition to this, she is one of the co-founders of the Alban Berg Ensemble Wien, artists in residence at the 2019 edition of the Februari Festival (held in the Nieuwe Kerk during that month).
Ms Careddu will be coaching the students intensively during a masterclass, which is open to the public and will focus on technique and interpretation. Her enjoyment in making music and many years of experience have made her a highly sought-after and inspirational teacher. She is always happy to share her knowledge and experience with music lovers, and particularly with talented young flute players. We are certain that attending this masterclass will be a unique experience.
