Open Day Royal Conservatoire Dance 2021

The pupils and students of the dance department train every day, full of passion and ambition. They spend every day in the dance studios of the Royal Conservatoire, with only one dream: to become a professional dancer. The doors of the studios will be wide open on Saturday 9 October, so you can watch their lessons and rehearsals. For the dancers of the future and for everyone who likes to take a look behind the scenes.

During the day you are welcome to attend the lessons as an audience. You can walk in at any time. You are also free to walk from one studio to another, so that you can attend different lessons or rehearsals. Feel free to ask questions! The teachers, staff and auditions coordinator of Royal Conservatoire Dance are happy to give you more information.

Royal Conservatoire Dance
The dance department of the Royal Conservatoire trains the dancers of the future as independent artists who combine an open, creative mind with professional skills, passion and ambition. To help the professional development of our students, we work closely with the Nederlands Dans Theater, with which we will also be housed in the same building from 2021. During the academic year, the students of the Dance Department work on different dance techniques. Classical ballet is the basis for the entire course. The younger students also have lessons in modern dance, world dance and flamenco. The advanced pupils and students extend their lessons with modern and contemporary dance techniques and styles, repertoire, pas-de-deux and coaching.
