Cancelled - Public Workshop: Ami Shamir

Due to corona virus restrictions Ami Shamir will not be traveling to the Netherlands.

Event cancelled due to coronavirus

In order to curb a further outbreak of the coronavirus, the authorities immediately announced a ban on events involving more than 100 people. Until further notice, all public events at the Royal Conservatoire cannot be held.

Purchased concert tickets will be reimbursed. Current information can be found on this page.

Osteopath Ami Shamir uses medical knowledge and manual therapy for the prevention and treatment of physical injuries and mental problems related to performing and rehearsals. He also shows performers how they can produce the best sound.

In his Public Workshop on Saturday 21 March 2020 students can perform and will be given individual instruction, treatment and explanation based on their own physiology, anatomy and biomechanics.
The musical results are clear and the knowledge that is passed on is simple and can be put to direct use at home or in the practice room.

Any KC instrumentalist, conductor, or singer can apply to have a place.

There is place for 5 or 6 active participants. For duos (or trios) the lesson is 45 minutes; a solo session is 30 minutes. You must bring your own accompanist.

It is desirable for the active participants to attend the entire Master Class.

This public workshop is twice per school year, and is provided by the KC. The next one will be in november 2020

Application for the Public Workshop is possible from now on.
