Residentie Orkest meets young opera talent – Georg Friedrich Handel

Judith Kubitz, conductor
Harry Fehr, director

Georg Friedrich Händel
Radamisto

The Dutch National Opera Academy (DNOA) is the Master’s specialisation in opera offered by the Royal Conservatoire and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Every year six exceptionally talented students are selected to train for an international career in opera. Their production for this season is a contemporary version of Händel's Radamisto with the Residentie Orkest. When it was first produced in 1720, this opera about love, jealousy, revenge and heroism was so popular that there was a black market for tickets to see it.
