Together with the Royal Conservatoire Big Band, Ed will present the music from his latest album ‘Last Dance’.

Ed Partyka is a bass trombonist/tubist, composer/arranger and conductor. He has toured and recorded with the Bob Brookmeyer New Art Orchestra, Vienna Art Orchestra, Carla Bley, WDR Big Band, NDR Big Band, Mnozil Brass, Gansch & Roses, the Roman Schwaller Nonet and others.

Ed Partyka is currently the artistic director and chief conductor of Finland’s UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra as well as Musical Director of the Zürich Jazz Orchestra. He is also a renowned jazz educator, currently teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts (KUG) in Graz, Austria and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) in Lucerne, Switzerland.
