SeT Duo
SeT Duo is a saxophone and percussion duo based in the Netherlands, formed in 2021 at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. The duo features Polish saxophonist Zofia Kęsy and Taiwanese percussionist Te-Ping Teng, both currently studying at the conservatoire.
With a shared passion for contemporary and new music, SeT Duo is dedicated to expanding the saxophone and percussion duo repertoire, often collaborating directly with composers.
The duo has performed at various concerts and festivals, consistently surprising audiences with their unique sounds and energy. SeT Duo won first prize at the Kamermuziek Concours Gelre in 2023 and was a finalist at the Grachten Conservatorium Concours in 2025.
'This evening will be filled with fresh sounds and unexpected musical turns.'
Zofia & Te-Ping describing the program:
'Our performance, Tangles, features works by contemporary composers, including American artists Philip Glass and Nathan Daughtrey, Egyptian-American Halim El-Dabh, and French composers Pierre Jodlowski and Jean-Denis Michat. Performing their music gives us the rare opportunity to explore new sonic landscapes and collaborate closely with composers.
From minimalist pieces like Facades by Philip Glass to the energetic, electronic Collapsed by Pierre Jodlowski, this evening will be filled with fresh sounds and unexpected musical turns.'
