Sonologieconcert in Willem Twee
The Institute for Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague has a 50-year tradition in education, research and production in the field of electro-acoustic music and computer music. The Institute takes a clear stance when it comes to the use of technology in music: technology is not just a supplement to existing music practices but should primarily be used to explore new forms of composition and public presentations of music and art.
Several times a season, Willem Twee invites the Sonology students to present their latest work in the Toonzaal. For this concert, the institute takes its eight-channel speaker system, and different works will be presented by the students, ranging from electronic to electro-acoustic work, audiovisual presentations, or self-designed instruments.
