Now that you have been accepted to the Dance Department, you can leave this website to register as a student through ‘Studielink’ (only for Bachelor Dance students not for Young KC Dance Company students). Studielink is the online registration system of the Dutch higher education. It also automatically signs you up to DUO (‘Dienst Uitvoerend Onderwijs’), which takes care of student loans. Here, we will explain the steps to register in Studielink:

  • Are you a Dutch student? Log in with your DigiD. If you don’t have an account yet, please request one through the website. It may take a few days before you receive your login details.
  • If you are an international student, you can log in with a username and password you create in Studielink.
  • If you are a Dutch student, logging into Studielink for the first time, please keep your diploma and transcript on hand. You have until 1st July to add them. If you have previously received mail from DUO, you are in the possession of a correspondence number which you can enter here.
  • Once you have logged into Studielink, you see the first page of your account. Please fill in any missing details and click ‘confirm’
  • On your own page, you find all information concerning your application and registration. The ‘TO DO’-list at the top of the page gives you all the steps you have to complete. Check this list regularly. Please read all the email and messages you receive from Studielink. These contain important information for your registration.
  • Sign up for your first-choice course (first step in To Do) under ‘Koninklijke Academie/Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag’. Follow all the steps on the screen. You will see a small screen saying that your course of choice has additional criteria. This refers to your audition.
  • Next, you pick you start date. In all cases, this is September.
  • Confirm your application.

To Studielink

Attention: You are now leaving the website of the Royal Conservatoire. After your Studielink registration you are almost finished. You just need to pay your college fee and we will see you in September, at the start of the new academic year.

If you have been accepted, you have to make sure all the necessary documents (see step 1) are submitted before 1st July. Once this is complete, you will receive an email from the Royal Conservatoire about your payment of the tuition fees before the deadline in July.

After your payment is complete, or after you have submitted a warrant, you are officially registered as a student at the Royal Conservatoire.

You might also need to make numerous other arrangements before you come to the Netherlands or when you arrive here. Please check the website for international students coming to the Netherlands for all procedures, contact info and help.

Sufficient proficiency in English is an admission requirement. If you are a Non-EEA citizen, you will need to submit proof of your English proficiency as part of the application process, regardless of your visa / type of residency permit. Citizens of Australia, Canada, New-Zeeland and the USA are made exempt from this requirement. For more information about the language requirements click here.
