Application procedure Erasmus

Students interested in spending a study period at the Royal Conservatoire in the framework of Erasmus+, are required to contact the Erasmus coordinator in their home institution. As part of this procedure, students will need permission from their teacher(s) and from the head of study in their home institution.

Please note that the Royal Conservatoire only considers Erasmus student applications as submitted online via the AEC online application system EASY, as developed by DreamApply.

In the application, candidates should mention whether they will be a Bachelor, or a Master student during the upcoming Erasmus study period and also in which year of study (for instance: Bachelor 3, Master 1, etc.).

When entering the requested study subjects in the application, students should take the relevant curriculum as a reference and enter the relevant study subject names & codes and ECTS as published in the website of the Royal Conservatoire.

With their EASY online registration, you should upload the following documents/items:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Motivation
  • Diplomas (if relevant)
  • Transcript of Records (as issued by the home institution of the student)
  • Media file(s): active web link(s) to an online platform (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) where the media file(s) can be played.

Composition candidates should upload scores of at least three (preferably four) of their own compositions, together with audio recordings of the works.

Check here for more detailed media requirements

Please note that without uploads of these documents/items (as above), the application cannot be considered! The Erasmus application will be made available to the relevant department of study for selecting purpose.

If not selected for further process, candidates will be informed by e-mail.

International students who wish to apply for an Erasmus study period at the Royal Conservatoire during the 2019-2020 academic year, should take the following into consideration:

  • The official deadline for application is the same as for any other application for a regular study programme during the 2019-2020 academic year: 1 March 2019!
  • In general, Erasmus candidates are NOT required to do a live audition; a recording is sufficient.
  • Acceptance of Erasmus exchange students is only possible if extra student places are available.
  • In principle, the final result of an Erasmus application for the 2019-2020 academic year should be known by 1 July 2019 at the latest.

• If accepted, students will receive a web link from the Royal Conservatoire to also register online via the student registration system OSIRIS and upload some formal documents.
