At the 14th,15th and 16th of June, alumnus composition Alexandre Kordzaia, also known as Kordz, played in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ together with ASKO|Schönberg as part of Holland Festival.

In the program 'KORDZ x SAKAMOTO' Alex, who studied with Peter Adriaansz and Yannis Kyriakides, made a tribute to the music of Ryuichi Sakamoto, in which he arranged and rebuild Sakamoto's work to compositions in his own style.

The compositions were live performed by ASKO|Schönberg, and Kordz himself played along on synthesizer.

In a review in the dutch newspaper Parool Erik Voermans is very positive about the program:

'... not hard to let yourself be enchanted for an hour, even just by the happiness and the indestructible optimism of the music.'
