As part of the new Ton Koopman Academy initiative by the Koninklijk Conservatorium, an intensive workshop week for interested students will be held from April 3rd – 7th 2018.

During this week, students have the opportunity to work with Ton Koopman and a team of leading specialists in the field of early music. In addition to individual lessons, there will also be ensemble lessons, and round table discussions focussing on historical research and other key topics associated with historical performance practice. The intensive week will culminate in a performance given by the participating students. All will take place at the Akoesticum in Ede and the cost for this workshop week will be only €200,-. Food and accommodation will be covered. To apply for this workshop send an email with your CV and motivation to Bethany Shepherd before 1st March.

This workshop week also acts as an introduction to the new Honours’ Master of Music specialisation which will be led by renowned Dutch harpsichordist, organist, and conductor Ton Koopman. The intensive workshop week will provide prospective master students with insights into the artistic and academic content of the programme. It is possible to take part in the workshop week without applying for the Master’s programme.
More information and applications for both the Ton Koopman Academy workshop week and Honour’s Master of Music programme can be found here.
