Ryan Bancroft appointed Principal Conductor of BBC National Orchestra of Wales

Ryan Bancroft, alumnus of the National Master Orchestral Conducting, appointed as Principal Conductor of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales! Ryan Bancroft (Los Angeles, 1989) graduated from the National Master’s Degree Programme in Orchestral Conducting in 2017. Since then he has embarked on a promising career, conducting orchestras including the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest, and the New Ensemble, and working as assistant conductor with Pierre Boulez, Jac van Steen, Ed Spanjaard, Kenneth Montgomery, Richard Egarr, Mark Wigglesworth and others. In 2018 he took the First Prize and the Audience Prize at Marko Competition for Young Conductors in Copenhagen.
