​The Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators 2019

The Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators 2019 took place at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic, between the past 19th and the 22nd of September 2019.

This meeting is meant for administrative or teaching staff members in Conservatoires who deal with international relations and European programmes (such as ERASMUS), as well as for institutions not familiar with these programmes, but with an interest in becoming involved. The programme of the meeting, as well as other important documents and policies on the field of international relations of conservatoires, is the result of the collaboration between the AEC office and the IRCs Working Group.

Every year this is a very important occasion for networking, exchanging of good practices and for developing and strengthening partnerships between institutions. During the meeting, among the many parallel sessions and workshops offered, the ConNext group members also met to make new appointments regarding the cooperation of its members and support the exchange of students and staff between them.

This year the KC was represented by the Vice-Principal Martin Prchal, who presented “MusiQue – linking internationalisation and equality assurance” and who integrated the “Panel discussion on the Future of Internationalisation” . The International Relations Coordinator, Elsa Ferreira was also present and moderated a discussion group on “The impact of the international mobility of students on employability”. Moreover, the KC also counted with the presence of Eugène Eijken, the International Students Adviser, with Jennifer the Bruin, the International Officer, and with Else van Ommen, the Coordinator of the Classical Music Department.
