Kunstlied adapted to these times
"We really need to get rid of the idea that the Lied is a niche. That it would be a slow art form in which no new (young) audience is interested anymore. If we don't send out a different message in the Netherlands, no programmer will soon dare to book lied recital! A counter-movement is needed, starting with young musicians who have the capacities to do so, who want to pursue innovation and further explore this very special art form. It is really up to the young generation, the digital natives, young people who have grown up in a visual culture with internet and social media. Taking advantage of that as widely as possible is part of retelling that age-old message embedded in song, but adapted to these times and aimed at a new generation."
Registration for the Masters specialisation is possible from October 2024.
