Wondering what the open day looks like? Feel free to take a look at the livestream of the previous open day.
How do you prepare?
Do you have questions for a particular department? Write them down! Feel free to bring someone with you. Try to make a list in advance via our website of the program items you don't want to miss on the day. If you register for a try-out, there will be more preparation involved. After registration you will be informed about this personally by e-mail.
Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you may not be able to attend the Open Day due to distance or other commitments. On our website you will find all information about our programs, and in addition we offer the possibility to watch our past livestream in which various questions per department are answered. Would you like to schedule a try-out on a different day than the Open Day itself? Mail to opendag@koncon.nl and we will link you to the department.
The Open Day is free and open to all.
Amare
Spuiplein 150
2511 DG Den Haag
Public Transportation
Amare is located on the Spuiplein, in the center of The Hague. From The Hague Central Station it can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. To do so, walk down the Turfmarkt. From Holland Spoor station it is about a 15-minute walk. With streetcar and bus stops Spui, Kalvermarkt/Stadhuis and Centrum you get off in front of Amare's door.
By Bicycle
We advise you to park your bike in the guarded bike park of Biesieklette Stadhuis or Spuiplein. Pay close attention to the closing times!
By Car
The center is easier to reach by public transport. By car? There are several parking garages near Amare, such as Q-Park Spui, Stadhuis, Turfmarkt, Muzenplein and Veerkaden. At Q-Park City Parking you can park all evening (from 6 p.m.) for €15. This parking garage is a 10-minute walk from Amare. More information via this link.
The Hague also has a number of Park + Ride (P+R) spaces. You park your car at these spots on the outskirts of the city at a low rate and then travel further by public transport to the city center. Read more about them here.
Amare does not operate a parking garage itself and does not issue parking tickets.
In addition to information sessions, Q&As, stands and tryouts, there will also be lots of live music at the Open Day. As soon as the program is known you will find it open this page.
We expect to open registrations for tryouts in the 2nd week of October. Stay tuned to this page!
