To apply for the Master in Music Education you need to have successfully completed a Bachelor course in Music or Music Teaching.

Before you are accepted for an entrance exam, you need to hand in the following:

Video recordings
Please submit three or more (video) recordings with a total length of approximately 20 minutes. Choose pieces with different styles and or genres that show your overall musical, artistic and technical level. For solo instruments, please include at least one piece with accompaniment (e.g. piano) or ensemble playing. Please pay attention to a good sound quality of the recording.

Upload the video recordings to YouTube or Vimeo. Make a PDF or word document listing the activated links and upload the document in ‘Osiris Aanmeld’.

Motivation form
Please download the form here, answer the questions including the specific questions for the Master The Musician Educator and upload the form to ‘Osiris Aanmeld’.

Master Project Plan
In your Master Project Plan, you present your plans for your artistic development, your research project and other activities. In this master, you will focus obviously on music education. See the Master Project Plan Guidelines document at the end of the page. Upload the plan (word or pdf) to ‘Osiris Aanmeld’.

Online-Entrance Exams
On the basis of the material that has been handed in, a selection will be made. Eligible candidates will be invited to the live-online entrance exam (Microsoft Teams) that will take place in April.
During the entrance exam (approx. 25 minutes) your motivation and master project plan and in particular your research plan will be discussed.

At the beginning of May, you will receive notice if you are offered a study place at the Royal Conservatoire, or have been placed on a waiting list, or have unfortunately not been accepted.
