The Ensemble Academy is one-year Master's specialisation, intended for students who would like to combine their main subject studies with a specialisation in contemporary ensemble playing.

As student in the Ensemble Academy, you work on contemporary repertoire and skills in rehearsals and performances, under the guidance of teachers from the Conservatoire, of musicians from the internationally renowned partner ensembles Asko|Schönberg, New European Ensemble and Ensemble Klang , and of guest instrumentalists, conductors and lecturers.

It is possible to take this specialisation in one or both years of the Master's program. If you want to take the course for two years, you need to audition again to be admitted to the second year.

The application to the Ensemble Academy is competitive, meaning that the Classical Department is able to admit a limited number of students to it. Currently, the following positions are available: 1 violin, 1 viola, 1 cello, 1 double bass, 1 flute, 1 clarinet, 1 oboe, 1 bassoon, 1 saxophone, 1 horn, 1 trumpet, 1 tenor trombone, 1 piano, 1 percussion.
