Erwin ter Bogt

Main subject teacher trumpet (Classical Department)

Erwin ter Bogt was appointed principal trumpet of the Noordhollands Philharmonic Orchestra in 1999. Later on with Holland Symfonia and now with the Ballet

Orchestra in Amsterdam. As a guest he also played first trumpet with every professional Symphony Orchestra in the Netherlands and with orchestras in Belgium, Germany and Russia.

Erwin plays with ensembles such as the Asko/Schönberg ensemble, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble and the David Kweksilber Big Band. He also performs regularly as a soloist.

Erwin ter Bogt studied with Klaas Kos at the Sweelinck Conservatorium Amsterdam and with Huug Steketee at the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague. He also took lessons with Peter Masseurs and Pierre Thibaud.

Since 2016 Erwin is main subject teacher classical trumpet at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
