Teacher Jong KC Percussion

Jennifer Heins is the main subject teacher percussion at Young KC. In addition to teaching young talents, Jennifer also teaches HBO minor percussion students and teaches a Snare Drum Technique course to drummers.

Jennifer obtained her Master of Music with a 9 and as part of her final exams performed the solo concert 'Veni, veni, Emmanuel' by James MacMillan with the Residentie Orkest conducted by Ryan Bancroft. Jennifer specialized in orchestral playing during her master's degree and followed this specialization at the Residentie Orkest. As part of the Erasmus Exchange Program, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik München with Prof. Raymond Curfs.

Jennifer plays as a substitute with various Dutch orchestras and ensembles, such as the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Slagwerk Den Haag, Residentie Orkest, Asko-Schönberg, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Phion and Noord Nederlands Orkest. Jennifer aims to prepare her students for the current field of work, by working as a performing and teaching musician herself. Her teaching approach contains fun, musicality, and a strong understanding of basic technique.
