Mathias Moors studied Psychology at the Catholic University Leuven and continued to work there at the Laboratory for Experimental Psychology as a research assistent.

In this capacity, he has done experimental research on music perception and cognition. He is currently teaching Music Psychology at the LUCA School of Arts, mentoring Master students in their theses on Music Psychology. His specialty lies in methodology of quantitative and qualitative research.

Besides these occupations, Mathias is a professional musician. He has been playing bass guitar, bass, and guitar in several bands since he was thirteen. In Belgium, he has performed on different stages and festivals, has recorded ten full albums and regular plays on the radio.
