UPDATE: The memorial service at De Nieuwe Regentes has been cancelled.

As most of you know, the wonderful Ack van Rooyen has passed away on November 18. On Friday, November 26, the funeral of Ack van Rooyen will take place in a private circle. To give friends, colleagues, (former) students and listeners the opportunity to say goodbye to Ack together, a gathering has been organized by Tony Overwater in Theater De Nieuwe Regentes in The Hague on Friday, November 26, from 14:30. There, in addition to a short program, the funeral of Ack will be shown via a live stream on the big screen of the theater. As several of Ack's family members live in the US, a livestream connection was planned anyway, and the family agreed to share the private link so that everyone that will gather in the Nieuwe Regentes can follow the funeral via livestream.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to sign a condolence book. Due to Covid-19 measures, there is a limited seating in the theater's bar area. Depending on the number of persons attending, a selection will be made by the organizers of a maximum of 100 invitees who can enjoy a drink in the theater. Other guests are kindly requested to have a drink in one of the cafes in the neighbourhood
