Complementary Subject Early Music and Jazz

The Complementary Subject Early Music and Complementary Subject Jazz are intended for musicians who would like to combine their main subject studies with additional lessons on their instrument in the Early Music or Jazz Department.

Students with a Complementary Subject work with teachers from either the Early Music or Jazz Department. Students applying for the Complementary subject Early Music must choose an instrument that is either the same or a closely related instrument of their main subject in the Classical Department.

If you are admitted to the Complementary Subject, you will have 60 minutes of weekly main subject lessons and 30 minutes of Complementary Subject lessons.

Students enter the programme for a duration of two years.
