Join Meet4Music to learn about the Angklung: a traditional, diverse instrument from Indonesia that can be played by anyone. Petra Ruth Alexandry and the DYD Angklung orchestra will accompany this workshop.

We will learn the basics of playing the Angklung to perform a piece together at the end.
The Angklung is made of bamboo tubes that produce melodious tones when shaken. One Angklung represents one pitch and therefore several people are needed to play a song.
But this workshop is not just about learning music. Collaboration, inclusiveness and connection are also important. Angklung encourages listening to and responding to each other, creating a harmonious musical experience that creates a sense of belonging.
Discover the joy of making music, experience the magic of Angklung and join us on this musical journey.
