Meet4Music

Discover how rhythms from different cultures are connected during this Meet4Music workshop. Every musical culture has its own principles and traditions, but sometimes they have a surprising amount in common.

During the workshop, you will explore these connections yourself through body percussion and percussion instruments. By playing together, you will discover what different cultures share musically. No experience is needed: everyone can join in.

The workshop is led by second-year Music in Education students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. They prepared this Meet4Music with Gijs Anders van Straalen, percussionist, teacher, drummer and cultural musicologist.

Come to Amare and join the annual Christmas Singalong on the Tribunetrap. Together with conductor Daniël Salbert and pianist Laura Sandee, we will sing well-known and lesser-known Christmas classics, such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Feliz Navidad.

Sing along with familiar Christmas songs, discover some you may not know yet and enjoy the music together. Everyone is welcome to join in and sing along.
