Drummer and composer/arranger Philip Maniez is a sought-after musician on the European jazz scene. He is the leader and founder of the Dedication Big Band and teaches composition and arranging at the French CMDL institute in Paris.

During this project week, he will lead the Royal Conservatory Big Band. The repertoire consists of compositions and arrangements by Maniez. He has also been commissioned by the Education Department of the Royal Conservatory to write a new composition for the performance Feest! on 21 November during the opening weekend of Amare.
