10 June 2025

During the AES (Audio Engineering Society) Europe 2025 Recording Competition in Warsaw, three of our Art of Sound students won prizes in the student competition. A great result that also puts them on the map internationally!

The prizes were awarded in three categories. Isa Plaat received an Honorable Mention in the Traditional Acoustic Recording category, Giorgos Dekos won silver in Traditional Studio Recording, and Mari Šišková took home gold in Modern Studio Recording & Electronic Music. They shared the stage with international, talented students from renowned schools all across Europe.

The AES Europe 2025 Recording Competition took place from 22 to 24 May in Warsaw. This international event, organized by the Audio Engineering Society, brings together professionals, researchers, and students to explore the latest developments in audio engineering. Our students presented their work during the Student Recording Competition and the Project Expo, where they received valuable feedback from an international panel of experts. In addition to the competition, they participated in workshops, lectures, and networking events, further expanding their knowledge and professional connections.
