Corentin Caussin wins third prize at the International Lute Competition in Weimar

Second-year bachelor's student Corentin Caussin has won third prize (ex aequo) at the Second International Lute Competition, organised by the German Lute Society in Weimar.
The competition took place on 15 May 2026 in Weimar and focused on the music of John Dowland, in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of his death.
The jury consisted of leading figures from the international lute community: Nigel North (UK, former teacher at the Royal Conservatoire), Chair; Jakob Lindberg (Sweden); Lynda Sayce (UK); Catalina Vicens (Chile); and Bor Zuljan (Slovenia).
