Daniël Salbert

Daniël Salbert started his study at the 'Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover' (Germany) with a training to become music teacher. He continued his studies at the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague, and received his diploma in 1999. From 1997 he also studied Principal study Choral Conducting with Jos van Veldhoven and Jos Vermunt, in which he received his diploma in 2001. In 2009 he also graduated in the Principal study Theory of Music.

Daniël is and has been conductor of various choirs. Since 2006 Daniel is  conductor of the Concert choir Rijswijk. Besides this he regularly conducts Vocal Ensemble Haags Ad Hoc. Since 2007 he is permanent conductor of Haags Matrozenkoor, one of the oldest boys choirs in the Netherlands. In 2006, under his leadership the Kamerkoor Jong KC was staretd, which has Music pupils of the School for Young Talent of the Royal Conservatoire. Since 2010 he also conducts the First Years Choir at the same institute.
Daniël works as a teacher Music Theoretical Subjects at the Royal Conservatoire. He is chairman of the Foundation Vocal Music The Hague, which realized the performance of the Requiem for Vincent van Gogh from Erik Lotichius in spring 2011.
Since 2009 he specialises in the Kodály method for solfège education.

Daniël also develops educational teaching material for various foundations and ensembles in The Netherlands, among which the CD-Rom Eye to eye with the Matthäus Passion for the Dutch Bach association.
