Eric Gieben, born in The Netherlands in 1962. Eric studied piano jazz at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with American pianist Irv Rochlin and Dutch pianist Frans Elsen. He graduated cum laude in 1987 and received the Nicolaï Prize for his outstanding performance. Eric worked for many years in different theater productions performing in The Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. He was professor at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp (Belgium) for harmony at the piano and main subject piano for seven years. Since 1991 Eric has been working in his hometown The Hague at the Royal Conservatory where he teaches harmony at the piano jazz.
