Composer Trevor Wishart is the Konrad Boehmer Visiting Professor for April–May 2016

The computer music composer and author Trevor Wishart has been appointed Konrad Boehmer Visiting Professor for Musical Innovation at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.


Three new professors Academy of Creative and Performing Arts

As of 1 February 2016, Janneke Wesseling, Marcel Cobussen and Henk Borgdorff are appointed professors at Leiden University and the University of the Arts The Hague. These appointments confirmed the 15-year partnership between the two institutes.


New master specialisation: the Master Calefax Reed Quintet

From next year the Royal Conservatoire will offer, the new master specialisation Reed Quintet in collaboration with the internationally successful Dutch Calefax.

Visit exam concerts

Every year the fourth year bachelor students and second year master students of all departments graduate by giving a final concert. All these concerts are public and are a feast to the eye and ear.

Eleven theatres and companies in The Hague have joined forces for the development of a special product for students: Show Me.


Peter Kooij to receive Bach medal Leipzig

The Dutch singer Peter Kooij will receive the Bach Medal of the German city of Leipzig. Virtually no singer is so closely associated with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, the jury said.
